Your video was interesting. I really liked the motivational styles and the strategies to motivate adult learners. However I have one question – the last strategy said to bend the rules if necessary. I am not sure I can agree or understand why that’s a strategy for adult learners.
Good point, however, individual adults learn differently, depending upon their experience, aptitude, and attitude. Therefore, if class activities were designed for half an hour extend it to other ten or fifteen minutes to give learners a chance to explore and experiment.
Ivy, This was a good topic! I think that adult learners are the most challenging to motivate because of how busy our lives are and because of past educational experiences!
